On February 18-19, 2010 interregional conference “Generating Measures for Smoothing Consequences of Economic Crisis in Social Field and Individual Sectors of Economy of Vladimir region for 2010” was held in Vladimir. The event was arranged by administration of Vladimir region, it was opened by Vladimir Veretennikov, First Deputy Governor of the region.

FBK was represented at the conference by Sergey Shapiguzov, President, Igor Nikolaev, Director of Strategic Analysis Department and Andrey Sinyagin, Director of the Public Sector Consulting Department.

Speaking at plenary session, Igor Nikolaev prized anti-crisis program of Vladimir region for 2009: “The program is fairly good, even rather good. What proves it substantially is what is happening with dynamics of investments in fixed assets”, Mr.Nikolaev also drew attention to the fact that a number of key economic showings in Vladimir region are much better than average Russian. “Simple fact that in crisis year they managed to open almost 15 new highly efficient production businesses speaks about availability of deliberate strategy for development of the region and its gradual implementation”, the expert concluded.

About 700 people attended the conference, among them, heads of economic block of regional administration, heads of municipal units of the region, directors of major entities. The conference was somehow continued by the meeting of representatives of consulting companies with heads of regional administration.
