The gap between the richest and the poorest regions decreased in the last decade — FBK survey

On October 25, 2011 a new research “Economic Differentiation of Regions: Estimations, Dynamics, Comparisons”, prepared by analysts of FBK audit and consulting company was represented at the meeting of FBK Economic Club. Having reviewed the statistics, the authors of the research made a conclusion that interregional differentiation of economy of Russia throughout 2000-s remained significant.

In ten years GDP growth in Russia made 159,2% — FBK calculated

FBK calculated growth of Russian GDP in the first decade of the 21st century. From 2001 to 2010 the growth of real GDP in the RF made 159,2%. Thus, according to Igor Nikolaev, Director of FBK’s Strategic Analysis Department, GDP doubled in the decade slightly more than by a half. At the same time, according to the expert, references to the global financial crisis should be swept away: even without the disastrous 2009, the shortfall is too large.

FBK implemented a project on request of executive authorities of Udmurtia

According to Andrey Sinyagin, Director of the Public Sector Consulting Department, FBK results of work under the project are planned to be used to enhance quality of state management in the territory of Republic of Udmurtia within implementation of activities of Republican earmarked program “Administrative Reform in Republic of Udmurtia in 2010 ―2012”.

FBK: New Year holidays will cost Russia 840 billion rubles

FBK traditionally counted the cost of New Year holidays. In 2011 the losses of economy from 10-day holidays made 840 billion rubles (comparing to 700 billion rubles in 2010). According to Igor Nikolaev, director of FBK’s Strategic Analysis , considering that the nominal volume of Russian GDP is growing, the amount of losses from the existing order of organization of holidays and days-off at the beginning of the year is increasing.

On December 16-17 a winter session of the CFOs’ Club on topic “2011 CFO: New Challenges and Practical Solutions”, organized with assistance of CFO-Russia.ru, was held in Moscow. Within the first day of session, awarding of the best speakers of CFOs’ club took place. Director of FBK’s Accounting Advisory Department, Irina Yutskovskaya was recognized a winner according to 2010 results, she received the highest scores of the audience.

On December 1, 2010 XI International Moscow Banking Forum “The Role of Banks in Modernization of Russian Economy — the Challenge of Time” organized by the Association of Russian Banks, was held in Moscow. Three sessions were held during the event, within them the experts discussed peculiarities of monetary policy in post-crisis period, issues of SME crediting at the current stage as well as ways to strengthen the resource base of credit institutions.
