On June 29 – 30, 2010 FBK Economic and Law School (FBK School) jointly with the Institute of Internal Auditors held seminar “Internal Audit and Risk Management: Efficient Methods”.
According to Sergey Pyatenko, Director General of FBK School, internal audit is a relatively new field of audit in Russia. “Establishment of profession of internal auditor has the same stages as profession of external auditor had twenty years ago”, Sergey Pyatenko noted. “Then they used to frighten auditors by inspectors, at the moment many can not see the difference between external and internal auditors. However this is “growing pains” which, I hope, Russia will overcome soon!”
Internal auditors of a number of major Russian companies and banks attended the seminar.
