On March 12, 2010 in FBK head office a ceremony for awarding winners of the first stage of intellectual “Case Competition” held by FBK before its 20th anniversary took place. At the first stage of competition which took place from the middle of December till the end of February, a case in Labor Law of Partner of Moscow Bar Alexander Sotov was submitted. During the time of competition this section of web-site was visited by three thousand people, 28 responses were received.

Postgraduate student of State University Higher School of Economics Anastasiya Ilyicheva was recognized the winner of the first stage; she sent the most exhausting answer where she showed validity of conclusions and thorough studying of judicial practice. The second result was demonstrated by Oleg Zaytsev, Senior Lawyer of the group of companies “Krikunov i Partnyory”, the third result was demonstrated by Bulat Khusnutdinov, Tax Inspector of Legal Department #26 of Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Moscow.

As Valeria Polyakova, FBK Consulting Partner noted during the awarding ceremony, it is remarkable that none of the winners specializes in Labor Law. For everybody it’s rather a hobby. So, Anastasia Ilyicheva graduated from Saratov State Social and Economic University with profession Business Administration, her postgraduate studies in State University Higher School of Economics she continued at Chamber of Business Intelligence. Specialization of Oleg Zaitsev is business law and arbitration process, specialization of Bulat Khusnutdinov is representation of state interests in the filed of taxation in arbitration courts of all instances. However, according to competitors themselves, case in Labor Law helped them to understand the topic more profoundly. This is one of principle objectives of the Case Competition – to support professional development of young professionals.

Within the awarding ceremony prizes were handed over to the winners by Valeria Polyakova, FBK Consulting Partner and Sergey Pyatenko, Director General of Economic and Law School. According to conditions of competition, prize-winners received diplomas and valuable gifts, meanwhile the winner also received the right to get one-month trainee job in FBK Department of Management Consulting.

Intellectual competition will be held throughout the whole year 2010. In special section of FBK web-site there will be published cases in the field of tax and legal advice, financial, management and accounting advisory, audit, i.e. in the lines where FBK is a leader on the market of professional services. The second stage started on March,9. It will last till the beginning of May.
