Translation of International Standards of Professional Practice of Internal Audit – new joint project of the Institute of Internal Auditors and FBK Economic and Law School

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) with methodological support of FBK Economic and Law School accomplished translation into Russian language of updated version of Definition of Internal Audit, Code of Ethics and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, that become effective on 1 January 2009.

Today, these standards are submitted for discussion of professional community. At the same time, the IIA aims at introducing to the Russian-speaking audience the practice of internal audit, based on experience of more than 70 000 certified internal auditors, working all around the world; validation of terminology, which enables adequate description of the diversified practice of internal audit, developed in the Russian-speaking environment during the last few years; preparation of Russian-speaking audience to the topics and wording, which will be used in the Russian translation of CIA, CFSA, CCSA and CGAP exams.

According to the words of the Director General of FBK Economic and Law School – Sergey Pyatenko, the strategic task of cooperation of the FBK Economic and Law School and the IIA is "to encourage expansion of the Standards of internal audit and the best world experience throughout Russia".

The Institute of Internal Auditors is Russian representative office of International Institute of Internal Auditors. This international professional association is meant to advance the profession of internal auditor and to support internal auditors all around the world. The Institute incorporates over 125 thousand people in 100 countries.
