On October 25, 2005 Moscow hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The effectiveness of current metallurgical production: management and information problems”. The event was organized by the International Union of Metallurgists, the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys and the Research and Production Union “Mekomp”. FBK was a sponsor for the conference. The conference covered the issues of the current state and development of information technologies at CIS industrial enterprises, including budgeting and planning systems. At the conference the FBK Company was represented by specialists of the Corporate Management Systems Department, the Accounting Consulting Department and the Metallurgic Enterprises Audit Department. Stanislav Novikov, Head of Metallurgic Enterprises Audit Department, delivered a report “Methodological support in introducing corporate information systems at large industrial holdings”. Besides, the conference was given reports by Vladimir Dmitriev, Director of the SAP CIS and Baltic states Industrial Sector, Andy Steavens, Head of the Broner Metals Solutions Implementation Department, and Roman Tampe, Head of the IBM BCS Industrial Sector.
