On October 25 a Meeting of FBK’s Economic Club took place where a report “Economic research and economic reforms” prepared by the company’s department of strategic analysis was presented and discussed. The report analyzed the financing of government contractual economic research for 2001-2005. According to Igor Nikolaev, Head of the Strategic Analysis Department, over the period from 2001 to mid-2005 through open tenders 945 economic R&D works were carried out with about 1,5 billion rub. being allotted. The club meeting was attended by Alexander Shamrin, Director General of the Federal Center for Project Financing, Boris Saltykov, President of the Association “The Russian House of International Technological Cooperation”, Konstantin Mikulsky, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, journalists working with central business, social and political periodicals.
